The Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamilnadu Dr. Kalaignar announced that the World Classical Tamil Conference would be held from 23rd to 27th of June, 2010 at Coimbatore (Kovai) at CODISSIA Trade Fair Complex. The Conference is also known as World Tamil Meet. The conference aims in promoting the rich heritage of Tamil language. The conference is organized by Tamil Nadu Govt.
The theme song, “Semmozhiyaana Thamizh Mozhiyaam” is written by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi with music by A.R. Rahman. The conference will be inaugurated by the president of India, Pratibha Patil.The World Classical Tamil Conference 2010, officially the 9th World Tamil Conference and informally known as the World Tamil Meet, is an international meet by Tamil scholars, researchers, poets and celebrities. Exquisitely engraved Thanjavur’ plate will be gifted to Dignitaries and Tamil scholars in this Conference.
