Final words

Tata indicomm and Reliance are CDMA based services and Airtel, Vodafone and Idea cellular are GSM services. As compare to the speed Tata indicomm and Reliance are better than Airtel, Vodafone and Idea cellular. CDMA allows several users to share a bandwidth of different frequencies. This concept is called multiplexing. CDMA employs spread-spectrum technology and a special coding scheme (where each transmitter is assigned a code) to allow multiple users to be multiplexed over the same physical channel.

GSM services are popular for their low cost calling rates and GPRS and EDGE transmission for internet access.3G not yet released in India in public sector companies which mentioned above.3G allows simultaneous use of speech and data services and higher data rates (up to 14.0 Mbit/s on the downlink and 5.8 Mbit/s on the uplink with HSPA+). Thus, 3G networks enable network operators to offer users a wider range of more advanced services while achieving greater network capacity through improved spectral efficiency. But it takes some time to come and implement all over India.

If you are really wants faster wireless connectivity, then definitely go for CDMA services  in India.
