Videocon, a company popular for its consumer electronics like Color Televisions, Washing Machines, Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Microwave ovens and many other home appliances entered into mobile phone market with launch of Windows Professional 6.1 operating system based phone, V2950 in Indian market. This is the first phone by Videocon powered by WM 6.1 in India.
V2950 powered with 624 MHz Marvell PXA300, NXP5209 Micro Processor and it has 3.2inch WQVGA Full TFT Touch Screen display (240 x 400 pixels) and 3.2 MP Auto Focus with LED Flash and Video Recorder but surprising thing is, company not mentioned RAM and ROM specifications on their website!
For connectivity options, phone has Bluetooth streaming (A2DP) with Audio Video Remote Control Profile (AVRCP), GPRS and EDGE,Wi-Fi, Assisted GPS and Microsoft Exchange Wireless Push E-Mail support. Motion Sensor and G Sensor are some other features. According to company, phone battery can lasts up to 270 min talk time and 150 Hrs standby. Company provide an additional battery for free of cost with V2950.
Foe entertainment point of view, phone has many features like, Music library search, FM Radio on Speaker etc. Its audio player supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA formats and WMV, MPEG4, H.263, 3GP video formats. Motion Sensor for Changing/Shuffling, Wallpaper, and Music is another great entertainment feature of V2950.Phone has expandable memory up to 8GB.Company also announce special offer by which user gets a free memory card of 2 GB.
With all those features and specifications, phone comes only in Black color at a price tag of 18,995 INR with One year warranty.
