On October 6, 2009 PUMA and Sagem Wireless announce PUMA mobile phone in the second quarter of 2010 prior to the Football World Cup 2010.And as per promise company launched Sagem Puma Phone in Mobile World Congress 2010.Phone features with solar panel at the back and packed in eco-friendly box.
“The PUMA Phone will be a milestone in the mobile market as the first mobile device completely tailor designed, from the inside out, with technology and services that improve experience and connect a brand community ” said Thierry Buffenoir, Chief Executive Officer of Sagem Wireless at the announcement of Sagem Puma phone.
Sagem Puma phone measures 102 x 56 x 13 mm and 115 gram in weight. With 2.8 inches TFT resistive touchscreen, phone has Accelerometer sensor and Digital compass. MicroSD card slot, 3.15 megapixel camera with LED flash and Geo-tagging 3.5mm audio jack, Bluetooth, FM radio with RDS and GPS are some other hardware features of Sagem Puma. Phone has Li-Ion 880 mAh battery and has Up to 350 hrs standby and Up to 4 hrs talk time over 3G networks.
Phone has Solar panel at the back and has integrated solar cell with charge indicator. Puma brand is well-known for its sportswear and accessories and this phone also has some sports features like, Bike Tracker, Run Tracker, Pedometer and PUMA services.
The PUMA PHONE will be available in Black color with telecom channels and in PUMA stores around Europe from April 2010.
